PC update and announcement

Following on from our post in june 2018, unfortunately the situation with the business has not improved due to the factors raised in june and also external parties focusing on the demise of PC for several years now finally getting there way. In the era of fake news and anoymous social media trolling,

one lie can turn into many branches of incorrect information.

the toy industry is very competitive with overseas marketplaces and even locally with big box toys r us going through the wayside.  A unqiue model was attempted by us to provide products to the consumer here, but even with overseas GST laws now in effect, at the end of the day regardless of what we asked our base,  people want there toys asap, so with that glaringly obvious by the pullout of orders this year, it seems this decision has been made for us.

Due to the pre-orders seeming to have too much grey area under consumer law, regarding supply, PC will no longer be doing future pre-orders, only items that will be listed for sale will be instock, this does not effect products yet to come out.

over the coming months there will be some products available from the past offers, due to the unauthorised refunds that have taken place throughout 2018. A large contingent of stock still remains stranded in china and the USA and is being worked on to have it brought in before years end. this has been made possible due to the seemless sales still taking place on ebay marketplace. PC will likely transition to ebay permantly once  all stock arrives in oz, and the website be closed down to rely on ebay's business structure and terms and conditions and dispute resolution expertise much more in line with a small operator business capability.

a lengthy audit is being conducted regarding bank deposit orders in relation to refunds, it is expected basic refunds for overdue items without receiving other products and discounts on other orders received will be finalised by mid october, other refunds are looking likely to be offered towards end of this year, due to complex nature of working out refunds that have not received part of their orders or free products in some cases due to the spend amount. Customers who have paid via bank deposit and have items that come in this year, will be contacted to be offered the product first, or if declined , a refund, this product will then likely appear on the website. any product in future that is on the website and is able to be added to cart will be instock and ready to ship.

 

It is unfortunate that with a customer base that reached 6000 earlier this year,

150 complaints all steming from the same platforms gradually created problems throughout ths year for many who until this year were happy with the price vs speed business model pc has always run under since inception.

Changes and Refunds

Over the past few month's unfortunate actions against the company has led to a unfortunate domino effect on orders by customers who had done nothing at all to create issues with fulfilment and ETA's.

This meant order ETA's for most items blew out.

Whilist the more clear refund policy was introduced, it still did not stop a number of refunds being done for items well into the future. This has been ongoing since 2017 as well as a small number of customers who attempted to obtain refunds even after receiving their orders.

This has led the business to once again changing how payments are collected and how many units of items we obtain.

As we have lost suppliers this year due to amount of early withdrawls of orders taken , we have changed deposits to only 10% and payment methods to EFT or Crypto .

Going Forward less products will be offered to buy and the QTY of availibility reduced. The only thing that will not change is the price of the items still being globally competitive.

I also want to dispell a myth regarding refunds via credit card.

Due to abuse and misuse of the credit card refund process. we instruct all customers to lodge a chargeback if they are seeking a refund. A small percentage of customers at times claim the bank said they cannot do this.

We ask for proof from the bank and or a Stat Dec, before proceeding to refund via another method.  To date not one refund request has complied with this request.

Again a small number of customers over the last 12 months have chosen to cause disruption by obtaining refunds via cash then also seeking to claw back funds on the card.

With the changes in retail landscape, we hope to still offer products not availably locally but on a minimum scale , we still have a few good asian market contacts which means access to products is still possible.

I Cannot apologise enough to customers who have done nothing of what is mentioned above , however the effect of these actions flow onto the business and create problems fulfilling orders in a timely fashion.

 

 

 

Deposit invoices/ Shipping Schedules

Unfortunately due to the number of cancellations we have received on future orders, we have had to now downsize the workforce we employ.

this means some deposit invoices are taking a week to produce and the shipping schedule is now once a week and not daily. A deposit order is just as secure as fully paid at time of order.

It also means offerings are not as widespread as it once was.

 

apologies to customers who have stuck with us during our revision to smaller sized operations .

Many of our China suppliers have remained understanding of the impact to our operations and most Hasbro items have not been effected in terms of supply, but unfortunately loss of some suppliers has caused blow outs on ETA's on Japanese Products.

 

 

 

2017 ETA's

19 March, 2018

Over the last few months a number of products due for the end of 2017 were effected by a number of cancellations.

this unfortunately has a effect on our relationship with suppliers and in some cases this meant the MOQ was not possible in order to receive the items.

examples range from neca to hasbro in most cases.

We simply cannot apologise enough to the customers who did not cancel their orders and have been affected mostly by the actions of other customers.

One silver lining is the ability to have made relationships and open a storage facility on the china mainland, which means customers who elected not to cancel their orders are having their orders still fulfilled .

This also is another reason products being offered in 2018 have had QTY heavily restricted. so customers who remain loyal to a business who offers prices 20-40 perecent below RRP will continue to be serviced with affordable toys and not be as effected by other customer actions.

We also introduced a deposit option to close the fairness gap of wait times and upfront commitments, we note this has had a large take up so we are glad to those who have given us a go on the back of this large change.

Another 20% loyalty discount will run this week, code is loyaltopc  and will run until end of the week

New Support Email

19 February, 2018

there is a small change to the support email address ,

cservice@premiumcollectables.com.au is now the new email for customer service

cservice@premiumcollect.com.au has been shutdown so please use the new address from now on.  online contact form has been reactivated so any messages should be received without issue, any messages sent on fri and weekend may not be received.

 

The Change was overdue, but due to new wave of customers coming to business to avoid confusion the change has been made.

 

EMAIL DOWNTIME

15 February, 2018

we are currently migrating the email server to a new platform,

there may be a loss of emails over the next 24hours or rejected address message, so we kindly ask if emails or online contact forms can be delayed until monday to ensure we receive them.

the delay will not stop deposit email invoices from going to  those who have placed orders today and yesterday.

Deposit Orders

We are pleased to see most orders coming through now utilising the 50% deposit method for payment, a much more equally balanced payment option in light of obtaining prices 20-30 percent below RRP , at the expense of arrival and dispatch times comparable to other stores.

please make sure when checking out the order you select this payment method, please do not select bank deposit as this a 100% upfront payment option, you can still pay your deposit via bank deposit after you have received the deposit invoice.

DEPOSIT OPTION NOW LIVE

Now the business has transitioned back to a similiar size it was in 2014-2015,

we can now provide a more flexible option for those who continue to buy and the potential new buyers we attract due to our industry low prices.

Customers Can now choose to pay a 50% deposit rather than full payment upfront.

This option is now available a checkout with instructions and terms and conditions also being updated to reflect the change.

Customers who still prefer to settle orders in full before arrival can do so and will have upgraded to express, as well as have no delay with multi product preorders which ship soon as they arrive.

Deposit Customers will need to settle balances before shipment occurs.

this would apply to multi product orders, so it is advised to make deposit orders consist of one product only.

we hope this is another feature recently implemented that shows we trying to find fair compromise between our business model that allows the prices we offer and the upfront commitment required from our customers.
